Cuboid peroneal symp: If you twist your foot on a curb or wear flip flops a lot on concrete, you may be experiencing a subluxed cuboid bone. This occurs when your arch is overstretched allowing the cuboid bone to fall down. It may feel like your bone is out of place and needs to be popped back. I would seek professional help. The longer the bone stays in that position, the harder it is to reduce it.

See a podiatrist: This appears to be getting more chronic. You need to be examined and may have to rule out a foot fracture or a tendonitis, or both that may have occurred weeks ago. You could have injured it without knowing. If you continue to walk with pain, you risk injuring it more, injuring other structures, changing the way you are walking and creating a new problem because of compensation.

Stress and tendiniti: Your gait may be the culprit is this scenario. If you are striking on the outside of your foot (supinator) you could be stressing the lateral metatarsals and causing a peroneal tendinits on the lateral margin of the ankle. See a sports medicine foot specialist who can perform a gait analysis (visual or computerized to determine your gait pattern and make the diagnsosis.
