Is nucynta (tapentadol) safe for teen?

Sort of: Depends who prescribed it. If a pediatrician or qualified doc specifically gave the medication according to age and weight, then it is likely safe. However, if you're dosing with it by yourself, then no. It's an opiate, a schedule ii, controlled substance. There is abuse potential with prolonged use, and dangers with overdose or improper use.
