Possibly.: If you can't take thyroid meds, surgery or radioactive iodine ablation are useful. In fact radioactive iodine ablation is effective, with 40-70% of patients becoming hypothyroid after its administration. You might want to just observe since your T4 and your TSH are only slightly high and low respectively, and you might still have normal function. It would be best to see your doctor to decide.
