A few possibilities: An isolated, asymptomatic, firm neck mass is honestly somewhat concerning... This could be a thyroid mass, lymph node, or normal structure that you are just now noticing. It is statistically likely to be benign, but it is very important to get this checked out (could start with primary doctor or ent), especially if you are a smoker.
