Never douche: Douching is unnecessary and can be dangerous. Vaginal discharge cleans and lubricates so douching disrupts natural processes, balance between yeast and good bacteria, and can push infection into the uterus. It should not smell bad, irritate, itch, or have an usual color. Changes in discharge during ovulation help sperm swim upward. Worried? Check with your doctor and get tested. Do not douche!
