That is dependent on: The diagnosis excluding: tumor, infection, fracture and deformity-weight control, not smoking, regular exercise, good body mechanics, avoiding prolonged positioning, a healthy diet with good vitamin d and calcium, good sleeping habits, a good mattress, a back support possibly, medication, physical therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, and certain pain management techniques when indicated.
