How long to recover from herina surgey?

Few weeks: About 4-6 weeks of no heavy exercises or lifting. Walking and normal light activities are fine right after surgery.

2-6 wks: Depends on a lot of things that are not in the control of the surgery: how you react to pain, the size of the hernia, the approach, the nerves involved. Could be a piece of cake, could be a pain for a while. Good luck. Walk a lot, use ice and advil- and be good.
