Possibly: Keloids are odd looking soft tissue masses that occur in keloid prone individuals. They are frequently misdiagnosed and usually are confused with hypertrophic scars. Consult a plastic surgeon or dermatologist and try steroid injections first which can dramatically shrink the scar. Surgery accompanied by steroid injections, radiation therapy and or pressure garments can also be effective.

Yes: First of all see the surgeon who operated on you or a hand or plastic surgeon. The keloid can be treated with a series of kenalog (triamcinolone) injections. If not successful, the scar can be removed and treated with low level radiation, which will certainly remove the keloid. Good luck from nyc.
