Processing: Vision is from the brain. The retina can send messages through the optic nerve to the occipital lobe. But once they get there, no vision occurs unless the brain processes the messages. This processing may vary. Help him to find the right setting to allow the best processing.

Optic nerve damage : Depends on the pattern of visual field loss. Can often be compared to “Swiss cheese” with areas of intact vision next areas of blind spots which can seem to fluctuate based on how far or near and at what angle one focuses with the affected eye and how well the two eyes work to focus together.
