Can Be Normal: If you have a copper-based iud, the above symptoms may be expected. Make sure you are not pregnant and if you otherwise like the use of an iud, discuss with your doc the Mirena (levonorgestrel) which is a low-dose progestin-releasing iud which also helps control or eliminate menstrual cycles. Take care and see your doc if the above bleeding worsens, if pregnant, or if pain develops.
