I have multiple sclerosis & the symptoms of diabetes are so similar how do I know if i'm a diabetic? My dr. Refers everything to multiple sclerosis.

Both are possible: To diagnose potential diabetes, screen with a hgb-a1-c, and more definitively, a 4 hr glucose tolerance test. Many disorders may seem similar on the surface, but a diagnosis is based on several criteria which separates one from the other. Best to spend some time with your doctor and learn what you do possess, and find the most effective treatments. Have him/her address your areas of uncertainty.
