A member asked:

My bladder is painful at night, does sleeping on my stomach make a difference. i'm 82 years old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can try on your back: Bladder capacity decreases as we get older and seldom an elderly get to sleep through the night. If you are heavy around your waistline, sleeping on your belly can increase pressure on your bladder and thus cause discomfort and need to empty your bladder. Try sleep on your back. Also, limit fluid intake, espcially caffinate/acoholic drinks, after dinner. Consult doc if no t better. Goo luck.
