Diet, herbs, probiotic: Canidida & unfriendly flora thrive on sugars, so a low-sugar & starch diet helps, as well as high vegetable fiber intake, as this breaks down into beneficial prebiotics & short chain fatty acids. I advise taking herbs to kill dysbiotic microbes, such as garlic, oregano oil, olive leaf extract, uva ursi & berberine extract, as well as a quality probiotic. It may take a few months of treatment.

Probiotic supplement: Friendly bacteria over time can be destroyed from antibiotic use, steroids, & alcohol to name a few. It's estimated that there are 200 trillion of these friendly critters in a healthy gut. If one has been diagnosed with an imbalance, it's best to take a live bacteria supplement with 15 to 60 billion colony forming units (cfus). Primary bacteria should include bifidobacter and acidophilus.
