Knots???: By knots do you mean cramping in your feet, or actual lesions? If you get cramping in your feet it could be do to electrolytes imbalance which also leads to dryness of skin and lack or perspiration. This could explain the hives. See your primary care doctor and discuss this with them. Blood works could reveal the problem.

People sometimes: Describe "knots" as cramps. If this is the case massage the cramp till it goes away, then make sure you are well hydrated and consider taking magnesium supplements. If therer is a growth it may be plantar fibroma. Which likely i would have checked out as all soft tissue lesions should be looked at by a doctor.
