Depends: Alcohol based mouthwash is not bad. However, it would be bad for an alcoholic or a child to use, in case of ingestion.

Alcohol mouthwash: Alcohol in a mouth can be bad if you have a history of alcohol abuse or are in recovery. It also is bad in that it dries the mouth. This can make your mouth more susceptible to form cavities and it reduces saliva and changes the ph. . There have been some studies on the affect of alcohol mouth wash and dental the breakdown of dental materials. The results are mixed. I would avoid if possible.
