It can be : Conditions found within the pelvic region can refer pain to the lower back including : arthritis, cysts, tumors, infections as well as gastrointestinal issues and genitourinary problems. These pains tend to be independent of position and activity and can be there at rest unlike typical back problems like a disc herniation.
