Disability: You may qualify for medicaid due to your disability. You need to look into this further though.

Not by cataract: Qualifying for medicare early (or rather, for medicaid) would be based on your underlying disability. Because cataracts are a treatable condition that generally result in good improvement in vision and no disability following surgery, they are unlikely to be a basis for a determination of disability.
