Get second opinion: Cataracts that need surgery is a rare thing in this age range. I suggest a second opinion if surgery has been recommended.

Cataract surgery: In younger patients is not nearly as common but not unheard of. If you are having vision loss which cannot be helped by glasses or if you notice problems with glare or haloes, then your symptoms may be from cataracts. If you are concerned that your ophthalmologist is not providing the right information, then definitely get 2nd opinion from another cataract surgeon.

Good prognosis: Depending on preoperative risk factors, younger patients who have cataract surgery before cataract is mature/white, have a faster recovery usually and better outcome. More info: eyedoc2020@blogspot.com
