If there is no open : Sore or stitches and it wasn't traumatized in last 24-48 hours should be ok.

Usually: As long as you don't have an open wound, bathing should be ok. If you do, be careful not to introduce dirty bath water into the wound or you risk infection. Wash and dress it separately. I don't recommend immersing injuries in hot water for the first few days. That promotes swelling. Ice is usually better for the first 48-72 hours. When in doubt, ask your treating physician.
