reason why nail scrapping of a client on sabouraud dextrose agar yielded fungal growth?

Fungus: Fungus may be either infecting the nail or colonizing it. We carry a lot of fungi and bacteria on our skins and nails which not always cause infection. Not sure what a client means and how you incubated the scrapings, consult a dermatologist if in doubt.
