Rash: About 20% of people who are infected w west nile virus may develop a rash. The rash is variable ; may be maculopapular or macular. Most people don’t have sx’s w west nile virus. An article entitled “characteristics of the rash associated with west nile virus fever” indicated that 33% of people w a rash had pruritus.
