Liver problems: Hepatitis c can cause a chronic viral inflammation of the liver (hepatitis). Eventually, you can develop cirrhosis of the liver which is a kind of scarring which results in worsening liver function. Such patients are at an increased risk of developing hepatocellular carcinoma. You probably will be getting a needle biopsy of the liver and referral to a gastro-enterologist. Avoid alcohol & tylenol (acetaminophen).
