Spider angioma: Sounds like a vascular lesion such as spider angiomas or broken blood vessels. This can be treated with lasers or electrocautery.

Have it seen: Depending on your sons age, the size of the lesion and other characteristics it might be a spider angioma, telangiectasia, a capillary hemangioma or other blood vessel abnormality. These are generally not serious and are treatable (pediatric hemangiomas often get better on their own with time). Your pediatrician can probably let you know what is going on and if he needs a referral for treatment.
