Yes: This medication can affect the stomach and cause irritation and ulceration at high doses and prolonged use. In active gastritis this medication would be contraindicated and should be stopped. If there is no active gastritis then this medication could be used but a medication used to reduce stomach acid could be take with it for protection. Discuss with your pcp.
