Eliminate Cause: Whatever the reason for your jaw pain, proper diagnosis and treatment is important. Otc advil (ibuprofen) or prescriptions can help aid in relief of pain, but removing cause of pain will ultimately eliminate the pain or minimize the jaw pain.

Temporomandibular : Temporomandibular joint is the hinged joint on each side of your head by your ears. Tmd is the name of various disorders of the tmj. Tmd sufferers experience headaches, inabilty to open wide, shooting pain up the sides of the face and tightness on the jaw muscles. A dentist can help alleviate these symptoms.
