What does it mean if your hbsag is positive but the "confirmation" test was normal?

Negative for HbSag: Initial screening tests are set at high sensitivity and generate some false positives. If the confiramtory test was negative and you do not have any other indication of hep b infection, then the results of the confimatory tests are the definitive results.
