See you doctor: This ear pain could be several things, ongoing ear infection, TMJ issues, headaches, mastoiditis, tooth related issues or an inner ear issue. Have your doctor evaluate your face, throat, tmj, head and ear.

Pain near ear: Have you seen your physician or dentist for an evaluation? What you describe might be a medical problem, dental problem or both. You need to consult with both professionals to be sure. One year is a long time to be in pain. From a dental standpoint, your symptoms may indicate a jaw (TMJ/TMD) problem which your own dentist should be able to evaluate & recommend treatment. He/she may refer you to MD
