Ortho evaluation: It typically takes 3-6 weeks for this type of injury to heal. Ice, nsaid's and activity modification can help control symptoms during the healing process. Oral/injectable steroids, along with therapy, may also be needed. If the symptoms are persistent, see a board certified orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation and treatment.
