A member asked:

I have a lump under my left side of my rib and it's sore what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lump By Rib: Such lumps have to diagnosed by doing a clinical examination because the consistency and the margins of the lump felt on palpation itself help to diagnose it. Some possibilities are lipoma , large sebaceous cyst, fibroma etc. The pain in the bump indicates that it may be infected. Please check this out with your gp. Further treatment would depend on the diagnosis.
