Not usually: First the pt should be evaluated. Labs holter and an echo should be done. Lytes thyroid and other level s should be drawn. If no obvious causes and no stimulants to blame then no other work up or treatment needed. As for the fetus, as long as no hemodynamic effects on mom then no issues with baby.

Svt: depends on the rate and whether SVT is sustained or not. If svt is sustained that can lead to fetal heart failure and hydrops. Usually isolated pvc s do not cause serious problems except in rare cases.
