Not uncommon: When laughing, normal lung function is suspended, so that efficient air movement through the lungs is interrupted. The muscular exertion of the chest wall contributes to oxygen utilization. Result: short of breath. If this is severe, you may significant heart or lung problems because most often such symptoms should be mild.
