Hives and allergies: The usual cause for itchy skin is an allergic reaction. Most commonly due to environmental, food or drug allergies. If it is happening now, during the fall season, it may be from ragweed or other environmental triggers. It can be be treated with antihistamines and topical creams. See your pediatrician.
