How long should i leave the gauze on toe after hangnail removal?

I am surprised: Your doctor did not give you any post op instructions. It really varies. With some patients i allow them to perform daily dressing changes the following day after the procedure and with others i just let them leave it on for a week until i see them back. It has to do with the comfort level of the patient. Just call your doc and ask what they wanted you to do.
