A member asked:

Vitamin d how much to take every day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: It varies by age from about 200 international units (0.005 mg) to 600 iu per day, but that may be too low if you are not exposed to the sun much. More recent suggestions are 600 iu up to age 70, 800 after. Your doctor can check your blood level to see if you are low (which is a common condition) or not.
