Yes: Physical therapist are experts in helping patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries, strains, sprains, and surgery. Back pain, and specifically a thoracic muscle strain, is a classic and common injury for which physical therapy may be beneficial.

Can be helpful: Pt can help heal this condition with heat or cold treatment, gentle stretching followed by muscle strengthening and postural exercises. Most strains like this will improve on their own but sometimes require pt. Of course it is important to verify the diagnosis as this is not the only thing that can cause pain in the thoracic area.
