Progressive fever...: That is usually associated with abdominal discomfort, constipation more than diarrhea and by the end of the first week, the fevers can be constantly high (without peaks and valleys) and the patient may become stuporous, muttering and picking at things (coma vigil). Complications include gastrointestinal hemorrhage from the ileum.
