Eval and treatment: The type and extent of the injury will detemine how. Usually if sprain, one will splint, use ice, ibuprofen, elevation and observation. If more sifnificant and if tissue loss or injury or open wound, this could be more difficult and you would need to see a health care provider and perhaps have an extensive eval and treatment to recover.
