What can be done for a long-term headache?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diagnose, then treat: Most common causes are migraine and muscle contraction (tension), but other problems including tmj, sinus, intracranial issues, hypertension, thyroid, etc. Get evaluated, pin down etiology, and start appropriate therapy. E.G., if migraine, use preventative meds.
