A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is an option for: Treatment of back pain that has been unresponsive to other treatments. It tends to work better for leg pain but lower back pain may be helped. A trial procedure is done and if at least 50% pain relief, a permanent implant can be done. There are several manufacturers including medtronics. There are also several different types of implants and configurations to achieve pain control.
