A member asked:

What are nerve stimulator implants side effects?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Risk vs benefits: Infection is the #1 risk which is less than 4% per 2004 study in journal neurosurgery spine. Less common risks include bleeding, nerve irritation/damage, allergic reaction, hardware malfunction, pain at implant site, dysesthesias, and spinal headache. The risks are fairly low in the hands of an experienced physician, and the benefits can be great. Talk to your doc about details.
