Causes of swelling of the feet when pregnant?

Pregnancy: Itself is the cause.....It's common so don't worry. Take a load off, sit, elevate your feet. Some wear compression hosiery so as to try and avoid getting varicosities.

In general, normal: It's not uncommon for swelling in the legs and feet during pregnancy, but one of the things to make certain is that your blood pressure is under control, especially check for preclamsia/eclamsia (which can be an emergency).
