A member asked:

My wbc is 2000 consistently. i have lupus. could that be "normal" & non concerning for an average person, or just "normal" in someone with lupus?

It depends on you: Each person's lupus is different. In some this could mean that your lupus is acting up. But i've seen this many times and some people just keep a low white count on a regular basis without any problems. Each person's lupus is different and each case has to be individualized.

Low wbc: Wbc of 2000 would not be normal in "healthy" person. In setting of lupus WBC 2000 could be secondary to lupus treatment.
