Alprazolam: Alprazolam comes in milligrams (mg) not milliliters (ml). If 1mg 4 times a day is your starting dose on this medication, this is very high. If you have worked up to it, it's still high. I don't know your history or diagnosis, but there may be other medications and/or treatments that could assist you without exposure to this much potential sedation and habituation.

Xanax (alprazolam): Your prescribing doctor would be the best one to answer that question. I am certain any other doctor on healthtap would tell u this is a high dose.
