A member asked:

Can injecting crystal meth cause lung problems?

Yes. : Medicines injected into a vein are essentially filtered by the very small capillaries of the lungs. Any impurity or toxic substance is concentrated and accumulated there. This can lead to a variety of issues in the lungs - infection - inflammation and scarring - pulmonary hypertension - airway constriction- some of which is not be reversible. Injecting anything is a very bad idea.

Yes: Injected meds are essentially filtered by capillaries of the lungs. Contaminants ( i guarantee your meth is contaminated) are concentrated and accumulated in lung tissues where they cause a variety of acute and chronic conditions. Significant dysfunction and death are not uncommon. Don't forget about risks of hepatitis b and c and hiv. Injecting illicit medications is a very bad idea.
