A member asked:

51 yo man has vertigo, nausea, no apparent cause. it just comes for about 10 seconds and goes, lasts for a week or two, then fine for a month or two.?

See physician: Vertigo lasting more than 6 wks should be evaluated by an ear specialist. Can indicate a problem with the inner ear. Specialized testing needs to be done to sort this out. It's probably benign positional vertigo. Treated with special exercises. Related to aging changes of the inner ear. Vertigo often causes nausea along with the spinning sensation. With hearing loss & ringing could be meniere's.
