What is the difference between yag and other laser surgery?

Target: Nd:yag is a type of laser that targets primarily water. It is excellent for larger veins and can also be used for laser hair removal, skin tightening, acne and tattoos (when q-switched). Erbium:yag also primarily targets water but it vaporizes the skin and is used for laser skin resurfacing. Essentially it is the wavelength of light the laser produces that determines what it will work on.
