Synvisc (hylan g-f 20): Synvisc (hylan g-f 20) is thicker than supartz-- similar viscosupplementation. Both can cushion the joint--made by different companies.

Why would you?: They are similar medications . No need to mix them. No studies that I am aware of to support mixing the 2.

Synvisc (hylan g-f 20): It depends if you have insurance. If so then once approved, it is usually a copay amount. If you do not have insurance it can cost about $700 in the us. You can order online from a canadian pharmacy for about half the price as a backup option.
