What is the difference between palsy and parkinson's disease?

Different meanings.: Parkinson's was once termed "shaking palsy" and also, "paralysis agitans". Both terms described tremors in presence of slowed or hesitant activity, but really ignored the true meanings which are indicative of inability to use a limb due to weakness of other etiologies. The term palsy is used rarely nowadays, and hopefully, we are a bit more precise now.
