Is there any difference betwee parkinsonism and parkinson's disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

YES: Sir james parkinson in 1817 described what he called shaking palsy now known as parkinson's disease. Symptoms similar to the symptoms can occur with some medications or in a group of diseases known as parkinson plus syndromes . Parkinsonism is the term reserved for this group.
