Yes: Any new permanent filling can increase the saliva in the mouth temporarily. Irm and cavit temporary fillings will slowly break down in the mouth and this may be what you are experiencing if this has been going on for a while. A gold restoration near a silver amalgam restoration can actually give you a shock.

No: Only thing that can cause excess salivation is to have something in mouth like a sugar free candy, if have excess salivation with nothing else changing, then have it looked at by your family doctor, fillings themselves would not cause excess salivation.
